You have taken a step on the road to a more enlightened life by visiting this website. You may however have doubts as to whether counselling is for you. You wouldn't be alone in this.

As part of my training I too had to take that first step. Like you, I had my doubts, fears and anxieties.

In my experience of those initial sessions I can only tell you that I was more than surprised by the freedom of expression I discovered.

In modern life we have so little time for ourselves. You will find through counselling the freedom to express yourself in a safe environment where your time is spent just on you.

I am a Member of the BACP Currently working towards my accreditation.

I have worked within the Substance mis-use field for several years, dealing with many issues that arise in this area.

I have worked as a Foster Carer, looking after children of various ages from ages 10 - 18 years old. This gave me a lot of experience with young vulnerable people.

I am currently working with Primary Care users, in General Counselling.

I also work with offenders in the prison environment, looking at all the issues and concerns that this brings up.
